DESCRIPTION:About The Venue\nLocated in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Southwest Virginia\, Green Hill Park Equestrian Center is a 30 acre public horse park. The park is self supporting with donations from various contributors and several local horse clubs who donate partial profits from shows held at the park. We are fortunate to have three arenas\, 20 stalls\, and water provided at the facility. A valid Negative Coggins is required for participation. \nEvent Details\nObstacle Trail (OT) – a relaxing short trail ride with judged obstacles along the trail and possibly in camp. All riding disciplines are welcome. \nThe Terrain\nArena footing and grassy hills\, rocks in creek crossings. \nMeals\nCoffee will be provided in the morning. Concessions and lunch will be provided by Blue Ridge Equine Society\, a non-profit organization\, who donates all funds to various causes during the year. For example they help purchase feed for the Roanoke Valley Horse Rescue. \nAwards\nBeautiful ribbons – 1st-6th place Novice\, Intermediate\, and Advanced! 1st-3rd place Junior (age 13-17)\, 1st-3rd place Youngin’ (age 7-12)\, and 1st place Newcomer. \nLifetime Awards (Equine & Rider) – Sign up 2 weeks in advance to get your qualifying awards! \nEquine Awards – Your equine will earn a beautiful kilt pin adding copper\, bronze\, silver\, and golden carrot charms as they progress through the levels. Equine points accumulate no matter who rides the equine. \nRider Awards – You will earn a beautiful kilt pin adding copper\, bronze\, silver\, and golden star charms as you progress through the levels. Rider Points accumulate no matter which equine is ridden. \nAdditional Fees\nPayment for ALL Amenities reserved at the time of online registration are due ON SITE and are NOT collected at the time of online registration. \nRegistering online will give you the best (early bird) pricing! There is a $10 increase per entry for onsite registration. \nThere is a $10 ranch fee due when registering day of the event.

SUMMARY:Working Equitation Ease of Handling Clinic
DESCRIPTION:Download the registration form: July 2025 clinic \nElizabeth is a triple certified Riding instructor\, trainer and equine bodyworker through Meredith Manor International Equestrian Centre. She has been a professional in the equine industry for over 20 years and has experience in a list of different disciplines. Her enthusiasm for the past few years has been Working Equitation. She says it combines her passion for classical training with the excitement of gymkhana-like obstacles to form an ultimate cross training sport. Some of her most recent accomplishments are in 2023 she earned Champion for Working Equitation East at L5. \nIn 2024 she won Champion at Eastern Zone Championships\, reserve champion in Region 6\, 8th place Nationally\, and was reserve champion for Working Equitation East\, all at L5. This year she’ll be rising into the advance level of L6 and is looking forward to the challenge and a fun season. \nThough her love of the show pen is exciting for her\, her love of teaching takes precedence in her business. She teaches her students the fundamentals of balance\, following the horse’s motion\, and correct application of the riding aids in order to communicate with the horse to the best of their abilities. Her approach is quiet and slow so the students can benefit from learning a solid foundation at their own pace. \n$85 – private 45 minute lesson with obstacles \nRider must be a member of Green Hill Park or pay additional $15 day fee to the park \nStabling available $20/day. Overnight stabling on Saturday can be provided. No overnight stabling on Friday July 4th due to it being a holiday.

DESCRIPTION:About The Venue\nLocated in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Southwest Virginia\, Green Hill Park Equestrian Center is a 30 acre public horse park. The park is self supporting with donations from various contributors and several local horse clubs who donate partial profits from shows held at the park. We are fortunate to have three arenas\, 20 stalls\, and water provided at the facility. A valid Negative Coggins is required for participation. \nEvent Details\nObstacle Trail (OT) – a relaxing short trail ride with judged obstacles along the trail and possibly in camp. All riding disciplines are welcome. \nThe Terrain\nArena footing and grassy hills\, rocks in creek crossings. \nMeals\nLunch and concessions will be provided by Blue Ridge Equine Society\, a non-profit organization that donates all funds to worthy causes. For example\, BRES has helped Roanoke Valley Horse Rescue purchase feed and supplies. \nAwards\nBeautiful ribbons – 1st-6th place Novice\, Intermediate\, and Advanced! 1st-3rd place Junior (age 13-17)\, 1st-3rd place Youngin’ (age 7-12)\, and 1st place Newcomer. \nLifetime Awards (Equine & Rider) – Sign up 2 weeks in advance to get your qualifying awards! \nEquine Awards – Your equine will earn a beautiful kilt pin adding copper\, bronze\, silver\, and golden carrot charms as they progress through the levels. Equine points accumulate no matter who rides the equine. \nRider Awards – You will earn a beautiful kilt pin adding copper\, bronze\, silver\, and golden star charms as you progress through the levels. Rider Points accumulate no matter which equine is ridden. \nAdditional Fees\nPayment for ALL Amenities reserved at the time of online registration are due ON SITE and are NOT collected at the time of online registration. \nRegistering online will give you the best (early bird) pricing! There is a $10 increase per entry for onsite registration. \nThere is a $10 ranch fee due when registering day of the event.
